Version 0.6.0 alpha

Blocks

New functionality for the raw core

  • Acts as if it was welded with any other raw core 3 blocks away
  • A cheaper alternative to teleportores for moving blocks through mobile structures

Actuators can now push together

Blocks inside combiners or creators can be welded before being extruded

Core renamed to "mass core"

Mantlers give a longer machining pulse to block detectors

Solo dynamic rollers in the hand can have their direction changed with the rotate keys (default: [E] and [R]) like rollers.

Visuals

Roller direction is much more clear

Rotatable blocks facing west are flipped so their light side faces up

Changed frozen block hue

UI

Option to allow for more zoom levels. May cause visual artifacts.

Shifted the default backpack position away from the center of the screen

Shifted stack size numbers down and right 1 pixel

Adjusting blocks with the build button or dedicated adjustment key (default: [F]) has the same range

The hover-over toggler icon is more responsive

System

Inputs are more consistent at low framerates

Chunks are no longer saved on separate threads (for now), making saving worlds much more reliable, but longer (still < 1 second in most cases)

Renaming .sac files to another chunk location will correctly load

Improved performance when updating blocks in the next update

Pushing blocks is no longer random for the first 1000 blocks

Renamed "uiZoom" -> "ui_scale"

Renamed "frameSkip" -> "frame_skip"

Renamed "windowType" -> "window_type"

Removed .cfg files from the installation .zip that auto-generate when launching the game

Bugs

Fixed missing characters at the end of strings

Clicking next to adjustables doesn't adjust them

Blocks don't get double-updated when quickly loading into a new world

Various block update changes, especially for mantlers and magnets

Fixed give_all stack count for the last few blocks

Fixed combiners combining more blocks than they should
